Large-format cylinders
Nitrous oxide tanks, for kitchens that go through cases in a day.
A tank is a single large-format cylinder that replaces dozens of standard 8g chargers — less foil waste, fewer reorders, and a lower per-charge cost for anyone running a whipper through a full service.
Tank vs. standard charger
One tank does the work of a case of chargers
A standard cream charger is an 8g cartridge, used once per dessert. A tank is the same food-grade N₂O in one refillable-format cylinder scaled up to 2000g — roughly 250 standard charges — so a kitchen running constant whipper service isn't opening a fresh charger every few minutes. Both formats charge the same standard 0.5L/1L professional dispensers; the difference is reorder frequency and waste, not the equipment you use them in.
Common questions
About nitrous oxide tanks
Who actually needs a tank instead of chargers?
Kitchens with continuous whipper use — high-volume dessert service, catering runs, or anywhere staff are swapping chargers multiple times an hour. Lower-volume kitchens are usually better served by cases of standard chargers; see our pallet page if the reorder frequency, not the format, is the problem.
Is a tank food-grade, the same as a standard charger?
Yes — both formats are the same food-grade N₂O, manufactured for food and beverage preparation. Purity documentation is available on request through your trade account.
Do tanks fit standard whipped-cream dispensers?
Yes, the tanks we carry are built to charge standard 0.5L/1L professional dispensers — no different equipment required.
Can you ship a tank to my state?
Availability depends on your destination state's rules, checked automatically at checkout. See shipping & state compliance, or message support if you're not sure.
